Provider failures could strand raw observations without a supported recovery path. Capture now stores and indexes a privacy-filtered synthetic fallback before automatic compression, with durable pending/failed status. Add authenticated inspection and explicit retry through
agentmemory compressionand REST without destructive re-import or duplicate observations.Validation: build, skill generation/check, documentation sync/check and diff check passed. Current branch suite: 3,426 tests passed, 4 skipped; focused recovery suite: 91 passed. New regressions cover joining callers with unrelated scopes, scope changes while waiting, stale revisions, replacement retries, deletion, observation-specific agent ownership, store isolation and model-work deadlines.
The freshly packed CLI with native iii 0.22.1 passed four scenarios: project and agent scope changes through the actual session-start endpoint, recovery of pending compression after process restart, and installed-package immutability. All seven test ports closed. This run used Node 24.19.0 on macOS arm64, cached dependencies and a deterministic loopback model; it does not establish a fresh installation or live-model behavior.
Recovery uses only retained evidence, does not automatically retry after restart and does not provide distributed locking across workers. Full-scope engine reads remain a separate limitation.
