Docker Compose runs the app with your host UID and GID so downloaded files belong to your user.
Copy the example environment file:
cp .env.example .envSet PUID and PGID in .env to the output of:
id -u
id -gThe defaults are both 1000.
Create the persistent directories as your host user:
mkdir -p downloads configIf these directories were previously created by root, repair them once:
sudo chown -R "$(id -u):$(id -g)" downloads configdocker compose up -d --buildOpen http://localhost:8080.
Downloads are saved to ./downloads and settings are persisted in ./config.
docker compose downEdit the volume mappings in compose.yaml:
volumes:
- /path/to/downloads:/downloads
- /path/to/config:/configKeep the app download location set to /downloads inside the container.
