Dark mode previously combined purple/pink surfaces with near-white reading text. Forge now uses neutral charcoal surfaces, softer gray text and a shared blue interaction palette in both appearances. Hover, selection and focus remain distinct without changing status colors or authored HTML content.

Changes

• Use #0D1117/#161B22/#21262D surfaces, #30363D dividers, #C9D1D9 reading text and readable dark syntax colors. Remove ambient purple/pink backgrounds and sidebar overrides.
• Centralize theme-aware blue accent tokens for selection, links, sliders, focus and interaction borders. Keep the home signature gradient and green/amber/red status meanings.
• Give ghost buttons neutral hover, secondary buttons soft-blue hover and selected controls stronger blue hover. Limit mouse-hover treatments to hover-capable devices and correct neutral CSS that previously overrode focus/selection borders.
• Match Markdown and HTML source typography at monospace 13px/24px. Keep the tab toggle as a single icon at the expanded rail's right edge, without a bordered footer.
• Name missing controls in Case Converter, Slugify, UUID, Timestamp and JWT Secret. Document the 14-tool UI/UX audit, scoped follow-up branches and theme implementation rules.

Validation

• pnpm check: typecheck, lint, 90 unit/integration tests and production build passed before push.
• pnpm check:tools passed.
• pnpm test:e2e --workers=2: 57 passed; 3 device-specific cases skipped in the non-applicable project (60 cases).
• Added theme regressions for composited text contrast on representative surfaces and syntax tokens, normal/selected/secondary/menu hover, focused input borders, theme-menu navigation and System appearance changes.
• Reviewed desktop/phone workbenches and representative Base64, HTML and home screenshots. Prettier and git diff --check passed. The integrated tree matches the validated feature branch.

Develop Quality and Browser previews are green on b788f6e. Chromium desktop/phone emulation is covered; physical devices, Firefox/WebKit and full assistive-technology validation remain follow-ups. Contrast coverage is targeted, not an application-wide certification. Legacy neutral utility overrides remain documented during migration.

Work is split across fix/markdown-tab-toggle-placement, fix/markdown-editor-code-font, fix/tool-accessible-controls, feat/neutral-dark-theme and feat/shared-blue-accent. This PR remains open for review.
