- Line 30: Update deepClone’s fallback to recursively clone nested metadata
instead of shallow-copying only the top level, preserving shared references and
cycles as needed. Keep all three VectorAdapter paths using deepClone so
mutations after store, get, or search cannot affect stored metadata.

buffer and verify stored metadata remains unaffected by later mutations.

This used to be { ...metadata }, so nested values came back by reference. Now nested class instances come back as plain objects: structuredClone drops the prototype, and the fallback builds {} at packages/internal/src/utils/objects.ts:66. So instanceof checks and methods on stored metadata stop working. Fine if metadata is meant to be plain data, but it might be worth calling out in the changeset.

What is the current behavior?
InMemoryVectorAdapter.search()returns stored embeddings and metadata directly. Changing a result can corrupt later similarity scores or change which user's filter retrieves a memory. Metadata copies instore()andget()are shallow as well. What is the new behavior?
Copy result embeddings and deep-clone metadata at the
store, getandsearchboundaries. Search cloning happens after filtering, ranking and limiting.Make the internal fallback recursive when
structuredClonecannot copy metadata containing functions. It preserves nested objects/arrays, cycles, shared references and common collection types; functions retain their existing references. The binary fallback uses the built-in ArrayBuffer/SharedArrayBuffer slice methods, bypassing instance overrides, and preserves valid view storage, offsets, lengths and own enumerable properties. A view referenced by its backing buffer's custom property retains its identity in the cloned graph.Metadata compatibility: nested custom class instances are now copied as plain data objects rather than returned by reference. Custom prototypes, prototype methods and
instanceofidentity are not retained. This behavior is documented in the changeset and adapter documentation, with tests for both the native and fallback clone paths. Applications should store explicitly serialized plain records and reconstruct their classes after retrieval if needed.Validation
objects.ts: 100% line, statement, branch and function coverage, running the complete internal suite with coverage scoped to that file.git diff --checkpass.safe-stringify.ts, previously reproduced on the original implementation. No coverage threshold was changed. The entire monorepo test suite and build were not run.PR Checklist
