MP2-043: eliminate checkout-relative configuration defaults

Outcome

Problem

Closes MET-93 / MP2-043 by removing checkout-relative configuration and calibration defaults while retaining supported explicit-path and compatibility behavior.

User-visible behavior

metriplane run now requires --config; calibration defaults resolve beneath the injected platform configuration directory. Atlas non-bundled pack and freeze CLI operations require explicit roots.

Scope

Adds the compatible metriplane.config.profile facade, platform-rooted calibration resolution, fail-closed explicit CLI roots, regression coverage, and regenerated currentness/traceability records. No workflow, ruleset, broker, release, or publication change is included.

Compatibility

The legacy profile import facade, call shapes, error behavior, and CalibPaths positional ABI remain supported. Explicit configuration, calibration, pack, and freeze roots remain supported. The removed implicit checkout-relative defaults are the declared MP2-043 delta.

Evidence and research impact

No evidence schema, report, replay, timestamp, checksum, research claim, or frozen historical evidence changes. Generated inventories and traceability records were refreshed deterministically.

Documentation

Updated the maintainer testing policy and deterministically generated QA/status/requirements records.

Boundaries

Privacy and security

No credentials, recordings, identifiers, archives, private data, or workcell data were added. Missing configuration and ambiguous roots fail closed; no trust or protection boundary changed.
